The need to collate Old Testament prophesies becomes obvious once one wishes to study a particular topic. When reading the prophets, it becomes clear that all prophetic books contain some end-time or millennial content. This content, however, is often embedded in the prophetic and historical issues of the day. The purpose of this blog is to list large portions of this embedded information in order to get a broad-based picture of end time prophesies, and so avoid the ‘one-verse-theology’ problem. The process of collecting and extracting embedded information of similar content, then interpreting it, and finally listing it by topic may be represented by the term ‘collation’. (This word seems to be a merger of the terms ‘collect’ and ‘information’.)
The purpose of collating information by topic is to provide a more comprehensive and clearer picture of a particular topic when obtained from multiple sources.
In the previous Appendix E we have already extracted the embedded end-time prophetic content for each prophet, one prophetic book at a time. As we have seen, these books touch on a number of end time topics. The main topics that come up most frequently and regularly may be categorized as follows:
- The promise of opened graves and of restored life.
- The Remnant purified.
- The Day of the Lord, including Armageddon.
- The LORD king over all the earth. (The Millennium)
- The new heavens and the new earth. (New Jerusalem).
The end time content of prophetic books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea, Amos, Micah, Zephaniah, Zachariah and Malachi has been collated by topic in two different ways. The re-arrangement is as follows:
- Firstly, by topic
- Secondly by book, but by color coding the content according to the topic being discussed, with different colours representing the different topics. This supplements the first collation by providing additional context out of surrounding verses, when needed.
The broad-based picture that emerges from the collation below is that we as believers, as well as the ‘remnant’ of Israel, will all be ruling with Jesus and serving Him from the land of Israel, with Jesus as king in Jerusalem. The saints will be doing so in their purified resurrection bodies, and the Jewish remnant in their physical mortal bodies, having been revived and rescued at the 11th hour (Hos 6:1-2). The Jewish remnant only believes in Jesus when ‘every eye’ (Rev 1:7) sees him at the rapture. They repent while being protected in the wilderness during the period of God’s Wrath on unbelievers, and thus pass into the millennium in their mortal bodies, having ‘missed’ the first resurrection, forfeited due to their unbelief at that time.
Such picture can only be proposed by first collecting the puzzle pieces, and then using a ‘best-fit’ approach when placing them on the table. As there will be gaps, and as time progresses the picture will become clearer. Admittedly not every scripture has been listed below, and other options are thus possible. Every believer needs to do their own study and make their own conclusions.
Prophesies by topic. A i) The Saints resurrected and restored.
From the New Testament we know that there will only be one resurrection of believers before the Millennium, (1 Cor 15:22-24). The reference verses for the nature of this resurrection are in 1 Thess 4:16-17: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: {4:17} Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Also refer to John 14:1-4, Matt 24:29-31.
Hence, when we read the Old Testament’s Ezekiel 37 prophecy of the dry bones coming to life (quoted below), in the physical sense can only be referring to the resurrection of all saints, the ‘whole house of Israel’. According to Galatians 3 there is no more Jew or Gentile, we are all one in Christ Jesus. We will all receive our resurrection bodies, pure and filled with the breath of Jesus, at his second coming. However, the context of Ezekiel also points to a later metaphorical resurrection of the ‘dry hearts’ of the people of Israel, who have been unable to comprehend that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ. The spiritually blinded (ref Romans 11) and lifeless remnant (the bones) are revived (receive flesh and life) and enter the millennial Israel as restored believers.
The Graves are opened, Dry bones are revived. The ‘whole house of Israel’, that is all deceased believers of all ages are resurrected at the second coming of Jesus. (1 Thess 4:14-18).
Ez 37:1} The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, {37:2} And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. {37:3} And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou know. {37:4} Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. {37:5} Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: {37:6} And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. {37:7} So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. {37:8} And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. {37:9} Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. {37:10} So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. {37:11} Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. {37:12} Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. {37:13} And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, {37:14} And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD
A ii) Joel and Isiah link the “day of the Lord’ to Jesus’ second coming.
Joel and Isiah link the second coming of Jesus to the sun and moon being darkened on ‘the day of the Lord’. Jesus confirms this event in Matthew 24:29-31, when:
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: {24:30} And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. {24:31} And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matt 24;29-31)
Hence the gathering of the elect, the resurrection of believers (N.T. and O.T.) occurs shortly after the sun and moon being darkened.
Joel 2: 30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.
Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. 16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
But that same day, the Day of the Lord, will be fearsome and terrible for the wicked of this world:
Prophesies by topic. B) The Remnant purified
The fleeing Jews are refined before they may enter the millennial kingdom. The remnant of Israel (righteous Jews – i.e. The ‘woman’ in Rev 12- who are fleeing the Antichrist,) will be gathered together in the wilderness, undergo and pass a purification process by ‘the breaker’, thereafter they follow Jesus as their King, going ahead of them.
Micah 2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. {2:13} The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them.
Purification of Jewish remnant
Zechariah 13:8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. {13:9} And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God
As always God has reserved a remnant of the Jewish nation for himself, in keeping with his promises to their fathers: (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) . But first they ‘pass under the rod’, and He will ‘purge out from among you the rebels’.
Ez 20:33-44} As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: {20:34} And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. {20:35} And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. {20:36} Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. {20:37} And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: {20:38} And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
{20:40} For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. {20:41} I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen. {20:42} And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. {20:43} And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed. {20:44} And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
The gathering and cleansing of Jewish remnant.
Ez 36:22} Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. {36:23} And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. {36:24} For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. {36:25} Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. {36:26} A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. {36:27} And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
A reminder that the Millennial promise is for the righteous remnant. They that were “cast far off “become “a strong nation.”
Micah 4:5} For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. {4:6} In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth [i.e. stops, resists, or refuses like a stubborn mule], and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; {4:7} And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever. {4:8} And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
Until the time comes that Israel has produced ‘the remnant’ she will be ‘given up’ and in travail. Then the everlasting Messiah (Christ) from Bethlehem will rule in Israel, and the remnant will feed from his strength and abide with Him.
Micah 5:2} But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. {5:3} Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travails hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. {5:4} And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.
The Remnant purified. (continued)
Zeph 3:9} For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. {3:10} From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. {3:11} In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
Amos 9.8b ….saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD. {9:9} For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth. {9:10} All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
Destruction of attacking nations and gathering of the remnant
Zeph 3:19} Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth [i.e. stops, resists, or refuses like a stubborn mule], and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. {3:20} At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD
God has been merciful to remnant in Israel, they have been pardoned of the rejection of Jesus Christ (Messiah), He has shown compassion and been faithful to His promises to the fathers. (Abraham and Jacob)
Micah 7:18} Who is a God like unto thee, that pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retains not his anger forever, because he delights in mercy. {7:19} He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. {7:20} Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

Prophesies by topic. C) Day of The Lord, ending at Armageddon.
Joel 1:15 Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
The mighty enemy army is descending on Israel, and Israel is in great distress. But the Lord’s army now appears, His camp is very great: this is the time of the ‘Day of the Lord”. The Lord entreats with the remnant to turn towards Him with all their heart, to repent, to plead for mercy, to plead that the Lord will spare them:
Joel 2:11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executes his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil. (call to repent continues till verse 17)
The Lord pities his people, drives away the enemy (northern army), sends food, wine and oil and satisfies them:
Joel 2:18 Then will the Lord be jealous for his land, and pity his people. 19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: 20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
But first they must be delivered, when the Day of the Lord comes, when the remnant shall call on the name of the Lord. Sun and the moon shall be darkened (as per Revelation 11 thundering, earthquake and great hail), before the coming of the Lord as heavens and earth shake:
Joel 2: 30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.
God gathers together all nations, brings them to the to the valley of Jehoshaphat, where they are going to be cut down by the sickle, the harvest of the ungodly and the wicked.
Joel 3:1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: 10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong 11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord. 12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. 13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
Is 3:8b) for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. {3:9} For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. {3:10} In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
As Armageddon approaches, the nations are gathered:
Joel 1:6 For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion
Zechariah 14:1} Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. {14:2} For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. {14:3} Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
And Zechariah 12:2} Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. {12:3} And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. {12:4} In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness….{12:9} And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. {12:10} And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Zeph 3:8} Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
God defends them
Zechariah 9:15} The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; an they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. {9:16} And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. {9:17} For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids. {10:1} Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
Jesus comes on His Revelation 19 white horse with the heavenly host and saints dressed in white behind Him. He dismounts and touches down on the mount of Olives. The earth splits and creates a great valley towards Azal, and the Jews flee there to escape the destruction.
Zechariah 14:4} And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. {14:5} And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. {14:6} And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: {14:7} But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Is {33:2} O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. {33:3} At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered. {33:4} And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
The armies of the enemy are annihilated at Jesus’s appearance:
Zechariah 14:12} And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand apon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. {14:13} And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold everyone on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. {14:14} And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.{14:15} And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. [also Ref Ezekiel 38-39]
Destruction of the attacking nations and cleansing of Jewish remnant
Zeph 3:19} Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. {3:20} At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD
Is {60:2} For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon the seaIs. Is 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

Prophesies by topic. D) The Millennium
As Jesus’ feet touch down on the Mount of Olives, the restoration of the earth begins. The seas and waters, that have been so disastrously turned into blood by the Revelation 16 vials which were poured out upon the earth, are now being brought back to life again, by the life giving waters springing up from Jesus’s feet, flowing to the Mediterranean Sea and down to the Dead sea. The LORD is king over all the earth.
Zechariah 14:8} And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. {14:9} And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. {14:10} All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses. {14:11} And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
Restored magnificently and established as the capital of all the world, Jerusalem, the city of the great king Jesus becomes the focus of all earthly governance, justice, teaching and activity.
Micah 4:1} But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. {4:2} And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Jerusalem and Judah are set apart, dedicated and Holy unto the Lord:
Zechariah 4:20} In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. {14:21} Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts
Amos 9:11} In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: {9:12} That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that does this. {9:13} Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. {9:14} And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens and eat the fruit of them. {9:15} And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
Zeph 3:12} I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. {3:13} The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
Zeph 3:14} Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. {3:15} The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. {3:16} In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. {3:17} The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. {3:18} I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
No more war, Peace reigns and people flourish.
Micah 4:3} And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. {4:4} But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
Peace, assurance, quiet and rest
Is 33:20-24 “Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken. {33:21} But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby. {33:22} For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. {33:23} Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey. {33:24} And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
Is 32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. {32:16} Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. {32:17} And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. {32:18} And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; {32:19} When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place. {32:20} Blessed are ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth thither the feet of the ox and the ass.
Jesus builds the millennial temple, dwells in Jerusalem.
Zechariah 6:12 Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: {6:13} Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Zechariah 2:10} Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD. {2:11} And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee. {2:12} And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. {2:13} Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
God restores the land, the pastures, the rains, the harvests; the remnant is satisfied, and rejoices in the Lord their God.
Joel 2:21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. 22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil. 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
They praise the name of the Lord their God, who has dealt wondrously with them and removed their shame.
Joel 2:26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed. 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
Jesus establishes His millennial kingdom in Jerusalem, the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters.
Joel 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. 18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim. 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
But most important of all, the remnant has been cleansed, the Lord has done it.
Joel 3:21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the Lord dwelleth in Zion.
Ez 36:28} And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. {36:29} I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. {36:30} And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. {36:31} Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. {36:32} Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
Ez 36:33} Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built. {36:34} And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. {36:35} And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. {36:36} Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it. {36:37} Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. {36:38} As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
All shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
Is {60:3} And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. {60:4} Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. {60:5} Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee. {60:6} The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. {60:7} All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. {60:8} Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
Strangers shall build up thy walls
Is {60:9} Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. {60:10} And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee. {60:11} Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
60:13} The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. {60:14} The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. {60:15} Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. {60:16} Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. {60:17} For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness
Is 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Hostile nations will be punished
{60:12} For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
{60:18} Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
Jesus blesses, prospers and fulfils.
{60:22} A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
Is {65:18} But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. {65:19} And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. {65:20} There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. {65:21} And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. {65:22} They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. {65:23} They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. {65:24} And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. {65:25} The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
Is {33:5} The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. {33:6} And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
Jesus establishes his rule, which includes the law that all nations keep the feast of tabernacles:
Zechariah 14:16} And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. {14:17} And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. {14:18} And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. {14:19} This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
House of Judah and Ephraim gathered.
Zechariah 8:6} Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the LORD of hosts. {8:7} Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; {8:8} And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
Ez 37:15}The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, {37:16} Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: {37:17} And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. {37:18} And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou means by these? {37:19} Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
Ez 37:20} And the sticks whereon thou write shall be in thine hand before their eyes. {37:21} And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: {37:22} And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: {37:23} Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.
David is king over Judah and Ephraim
Ez37:24} And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. {37:25} And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. {37:26} Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. {37:27} My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. {37:28} And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
Ez 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. {3:18} And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. {3:19} Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. {3:20} But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. {3:21} For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
Blindness and deafness removed.
Is 32:1-5 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. {32:2} And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. {32:3} And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. {32:4} The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
Finally, the remnant of Israel shall fulfil the prophetic promises made about Israel. They will be a blessing to all nations, providing and protecting, driving off enemies.
Micah 5:7} And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarries not for man, nor waits for the sons of men. {5:8} And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treads down, and tears in pieces, and none can deliver. {5:9} Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off…
Micah 7:15} According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvelous things Micah 7:16} The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf. {7:17} They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.

Prophesies by topic. E) Gog, Magog and The New Jerusalem
Micah 4:13} Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. {5:1} Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
The armies of the Gog and Magog are annihilated at Jesus’s appearance:
The New Jerusalem
Is {60:19} The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. {60:20} Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. {60:21} Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Is {65:17} For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Jeremiah 30 & 31 has not been mentioned in the above. With the above in mind, read Jeremiah 30 & 31.
This (e.g. ‘the time of Jacob’s trouble) should confirm the proposed scenario outlined above.

Colour Coding of listed end-time events:
It is helpful to ‘line up’ OT prophecy with NT scripture by colour coding entire OT passages. This should answer most questions about context, i.e. that these prophesies are not about the historical Babylonian or Roman onslaughts only but is referring to the final end time onslaught. The system used is as follows:
- Blue: before Armageddon, including the cosmic darkening, the ‘Day of the Lord’ rapture of the elect, the ‘wrath of God’ and nations gathering for battle.
- Brown: Armageddon, destruction of attacking nations and cleansing of Jewish remnant.
- Green: The Millennium, Jesus reigns from a restored Jerusalem on a restored earth.
- Black: Near the end and after the millennium, including the Gog-Magog battle.
- Purple: The New Jerusalem.
Refer to Xchart-c (link) for the definition and timing of the above events, noting that the ‘Day of the Lord’ spans over many of these. They seem to start at the cosmic darkening prior to the gathering of the elect (Matt 24:29-31) and spans right up to the Gog-Magog rebellion. Why would the day of the Lord be such an extended period? The ‘day of the Lord’ is explained in more detail in post 7.0. Also refer to post 2.6 for a more extensive listing of Old Testament millennial prophesies.
Zechariah and Isaiah mention the widest variety of events, weaving to and fro, from one millennial scenario to the next, in the following passages :
Zechariah 14
{14:1} Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. {14:4} And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. {14:8} And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
14:12} And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand apon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. [Ref Ezekiel 38-39]
{14:16} And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
{14:20} In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar. {14:21} Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
Isaiah 32,33, 60, 65
32:1-5 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
32:15 Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
{33:2} O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. {33:3} At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered. {33:4} And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpillar: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them. {33:5} The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. {33:6} And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
33:2024 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. {60:2} For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. {60:3} And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
{60:9} Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. {60:12} For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. {60:13} The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. {60:17} For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness. {60:18} Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
{60:19} The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. {60:22} A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
{65:17} For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. {65:18} But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

{36:22} Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. {36:28} And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
{36:33} Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be built.
{37:1} The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, {37:2} And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. {37:8} And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the
flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. {37:9} Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. {37:10} So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. {37:11} Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. {37:12} Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. {37:13} And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, {37:14} And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD. {37:15}
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, {37:16} Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: {37:17} And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
{37:20} And the sticks whereon thou write shall be in thine hand before their eyes. {37:24} And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

{2:15} Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: {2:16} Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. {2:17} Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God? {2:18} Then will the LORD be jealous for his land and pity his people. {2:19} Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: {2:20} But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. {2:21} Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. {2:22} Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree bears her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. {2:23} Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. {2:24} And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. {2:25} And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. {2:26} And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed. {2:27} And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
{2:28} And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: {2:29} And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. {2:30} And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. {2:31} The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. (capitals mine) {2:32} And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
{3:9} Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: {3:10} Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. {3:11} Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. {3:12} Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. {3:13} Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. {3:14} Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. {3:15} The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. {3:16} The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
{3:17} So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.
Amos
{9:1} I saw the LORD standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that flees of them shall not flee away, and he that escapes of them shall not be delivered. {9:2} Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: {9:3} And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: {9:4} And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good. {9:5} And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that touches the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. {9:6} It is he that builds his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name. {9:7} Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? {9:8} Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD.
{9:11} In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: {9:12} That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that dos this.
Micah 4 (refer to a more detailed study at the end of the post)
{4:1} But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. {4:2} And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
{4:3} And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. {4:4} But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it {4:5} For all people will walk everyone in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. {4:6} In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; {4:7} And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
{4:8} And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem. {4:9} Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail. {4:10} Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. {4:11} Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion. {4:12} But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor. {4:13} Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces manypeople: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

{3:8} Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. {3:9} For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
{3:12} I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. {3:13} The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
{3:14} Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. {3:19} Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. {3:20} At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
Malachi 4
{4:1} For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. {4:2} But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall. {4:3} And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. {4:4} Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
{4:5} Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD {4:6} And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
The above is a small sampling of the most important prophetic passages. The colour-coding may now be extended to all the end-time passages by anyone with that desire. (Refer to post 2.6 for more OT prophetic passages.)
The most important function of the above passages is to support the New Testament prophecies: These include the troubled nations, punishment of Israel, the second coming before the Day of the Lord, the judgements during the Day of the Lord, the restoration of the remnant of Israel, the glorious Millennial reign of the messiah. the final rebellion, and the new heavens and a new earth (Isiah 60, 65). The second most important function is to flesh out the picture of Jesus’s glorious Millennial reign, painting a picture of our inheritance, which will sustain us during the troublesome times prior to the second coming.
